Feb. 6, 2005

Dear friends,

The season of Lent is upon us! Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Lent, is Feb. 9 and we will mark the day with a Service of Worship at 12 Noon & 8 PM (Child care will be provided during the 8 PM Worship).

Lent is an excellent time for you to begin that spiritual discipline that you have always intended to begin. Perhaps it is daily Bible reading and prayer, or family worship, or perhaps an intentional effort to "HONOR THE SABBATH" . . . every seven days.

We will be gathering for Sunday Evening Lenten Suppers & Study beginning Sunday evening Feb. 13, at 5 PM. If Sunday evenings do not work for you then it is incumbent upon you to find another way to grow intentionally in your faith through the season of Lent.

Sincerely,
Pastor Eldon Simpson
