NEW! SATURDAY MORNING PRAYER: 10:00-10:45 AM, the Sanctuary will be open for morning prayer and praise. Prayer is the best antidote for worry. God chooses to work through prayer. So let's come seek God together!
CARL GANZ MEMORIAL DINNER: The United Methodist Men will present the annual Carl Ganz Memorial Roast Pork Dinner this Sat. Nov. 11, 2006 6:30pm in Fellowship Hall. For ticket reservations, directions or other information, please call the Church Office, 516-694-3424.
UMW GENERAL MEETING: Tues. Nov. 14th, 7:00pm, in Fellowship Hall. Program: Historical Journey of United Methodist Women - Part 2. Speaker: Steve Nowotarski. Host will be Martha/Mary Circle. All women and teens are welcome.
THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE: Once again, we will be having our annual Thanksgiving food drive. Please bring any non-perishable food donations to church and leave it in the So. Transept by Nov. 19th. All food will be delivered to St. Killian's food pantry.

CONFIRMATION MENTOR'S DINNER: Sunday, Dec. 3rd, 5:00pm (location to be announced).
ADVENT DEVOTIONAL BOOKETS: will be available in the So. Transept beginning Sunday, Nov. 19th. These booklets contain personal testimonies written by members of our congregation. Be sure to pick up your copy to use as a personal tool for reflection and meditation during the Advent Season.

ADVENT CANDLE LIGHTING SIGN-UP: For those families who would like to participate in our Advent Candle Lighting, there is a sign-up sheet in the So. Transept.
THE ORDER OF THE KEEPER OF THE CHRISTMAS SECRET: If you would like to nominate someone for the Order of the Keeper of the Christmas Secret, pick up a nomination form on Sunday morning. Nominees should in there own quiet way do their best to keep the Christmas Secret (The Secret of Living is Giving).

If you would like to place your name on the list, please fill out a slip, available at the Welcome Center, and return to the Church Office. Thank you.
CHURCH PICTURE DIRECTORY NEWS: The second set of dates for the photographs to be taken for our new pictorial directory is as follows: Fri., Jan. 12th, 3:00-9:30pm and Sat., Jan. 13th, 10:00am-5:00pm. You do not have to be a member of the church in order to have your picture taken (just indicate that you should not be included in the directory when you come for your sitting). A sign-up sheet is in the So. Transept or you may call the Church Office to make an appointment for your sitting.
