WESLEY CHOIR: will be singing the prelude this Sunday. Please be in church ready to rehearse in the sanctuary at 9:00am. We will robe at 9:15am. Thank you!

UMM VALENTINE'S DINNER: The UMM will host a dinner for men and their significant others. The wives of former members are invited to attend at no cost. Date: Mon. Feb. 19th, 7:00pm in Fellowship Hall. Cost: $20 per couple ($10 for annual UMM dues, $10 for dinner for two). For reservations, please see Pete Campanella or Jeff James.

SPECIAL CHARGE CONFERENCE: to vote on the Memorial Donation for the purpose of purchase of Chancel Choir Music on Monday, February 26 at 7PM in Fellowship Hall.

NATURAL CHURCH DEVELOPMENT (NCD) NIGHT with the Rev. Ann Pearson on Sunday, March 4 at 7:30 PM: All the members of the Administrative Council and ALL church members who are interested in the health & growth of our Church are invited to this special presentation. NCD is a process by which churches can discover areas to improve and implement ways to grow in effectiveness for Christ and His Mission.

2007 PLEDGE CARDS: If you have not yet handed in your 2007 pledges to support Christ's work at Farmingdale United Methodist Church, please either mail, drop at the Church Office, or place in the collection plate. Gold pledge cards are available in the back of the Church and in the So. Transept. Thank you.

J.C. CAFÉ HOME EDITION: Talent Night, Sat. Mar. 10th. Come and experience the J.C. Café atmosphere with a special focus. Coffee, tea, desserts; suggested donation $5.00 (to be given to UMCOR-Darfur).


SUNDAY NIGHT 2007 LENTEN PROGRAMS
Beginning February 25th
5:00PM - Covered Dish Supper
6:00PM - Praise led by Worship Band & Lenten Program
Plan ahead and join us starting Sunday, February 25th at 5:00pm for a potluck dinner. Following the dinner, we will have several program options from which to choose:

  • a 6-week DVD study on "If You Want to Walk on Water, You've Got to Get Out of the Boat" by John Ortberg
  • Three 2-week programs:
  1. Discussion on How the Bible Came to Be - The Early Church and the Formation of the Bible, The Gospels - The Chosen & the Lost;
  2. Discussion on Henri Nouwen's Out of Solitude
  3. Discussion based on the recent movie, "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," from The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis.

There will be programs for Children & Youth.
Our Lenten walk begins with Ash Wednesday Services on February 21st at 12:00noon and 8:00pm. ALL ARE WELCOME!

MISSION TEAMS: The NYAC has relief teams going to Biloxi, Mississippi beginning March 3rd and continuing through August 18th to continue the rebuilding of this area so devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Please call the Church Office

Our Church is a member of the NYAC. The following is the VISION STATEMENT for our Conference:

ATTN YOUTH: Be one of the 1,000 youth at the Annual Conference this June! Bishop Jeremiah Park is extending an invitation to youth from all over the Conference to attend Annual Conference on Sat. June 9th. Arrive at 9:00am to the huge tent where there will be all kinds of fun things to do. Christian rock singer and recording artist Krystal Meyers will perform with her band. At 11:00am youth programming will begin in the arena for a huge mission celebration. Lunch is free. For lunch reservations, call Ann Pearson at 888-696-6922, ext. 230.

2007 UPPER ROOM DISCIPLINES: are available at the Welcome Center for $10.00. These devotional books offer daily scripture readings with meditations and prayers.
