June 17, 2007

Dear Friends,
The 208th Session of the NY Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church was held at Hofstra University last week. One of the highlights of the Conference was the Youth Celebration held on Saturday. Hundreds of youth from all over our conference gathered for a time of exciting worship and inspiration from a special youth speaker. Four of our youth also attended the festivities.

A curious thing happened on the morning of the last day of the conference. During breakfast time there was a power failure. The delegates had to eat a cold breakfast in the dark as a result. The incident reminded me: When we have a 'power failure' in our spiritual lives and neglect to connect to the Power Source in Christ, we too will experience cold hearts and others will be in the dark as a result. May we always be connected to Christ, our strength and hope so that we may grow in love and shine our light for Christ!

Join us in worship this Sunday as we celebrate Father's Day and honor the dads among us!

Appointed to Serve the Lord with You,
Pastor Yim
