WESLEY CHOIR: will sing in the Palm Sunday 9:30am service. Please arrive at the church at 9:05am to rehearse and get robed.

SKIP NEWMAN SCHOLARSHIP: The Hugh "Skip Newman" Scholarship committee is currently accepting applications for the 2008 Skip Newman Scholarship. Applications are available in the Church Office and must be submitted by May 18th. Anyone wishing to make a donation to the scholarship fund may do so by submitting a check to the Church and designating it for the Newman Scholarship Fund.

Lord, we pray for salvation, healing, forgiveness, freedom, transformation, and spiritual renewal for all who come to seek You. In Jesus' name. Amen.


SUNDAY EVENING LENTEN PROGRAM 2008

Sunday, March 16th
5:00PM – Covered Dish Supper
6:00PM – Praise & Lenten Program
Plan ahead and join us on the Sundays in Lent at 5:00pm for a potluck dinner, followed by praise & study.

VIDEO STUDY "So That the World May Know" - a series of Faith Lessons focused on the death and resurrection of Jesus the Messiah.
*Topic for Sun. March 16h: Roll Away the Stone: Jesus suffered great humiliation, physical torture, and spiritual agony for people He loved, whether they loved Him or not. We will examine some of the cultural details surrounding the events of the last weeks of Jesus' life.

BOOK STUDY on Forgiveness – "How Can I Forgive?" This study will look at forgiveness: what the Bible has to say on the subject, what stops us from forgiving others and how we can work to offer forgiveness, both as individuals and as a world.

There are programs for Children & Youth.
Youth Program is on "Prayer."

**COMING SOON! APRIL POTLUCK, PRAISE & PRAYER STUDY on Sunday, April 6 starting 5 PM. Plan to continue in fellowship and study on a monthly basis 1st Sunday of each month till the summer.

MEMORIAL GIFT OPPORTUNITY: Our church is in need of a new Communion set for worship use. If any families wish to remember or honor someone by giving toward this need, please call the Church Office.

LOVEABLE LADIES' LUNCHEON: Sat. April 19th, 12:00-2:00pm in Fellowship Hall. Tickets are $12 per person and are available at Coffee Hour. Ladies, please think of inviting a friend, neighbor or relative for a delicious meal and fellowship.

EASTER DAWN WORSHIP SERVICE: The Long Island Council of Churches invites one and all to its Easter dawn worship service at 6:30am at Jones Beach. Dress warmly and bring beach chairs or blankets. Non-perishable food items will be collected for the LICC's emergency food pantries and Church World Service disaster response kits.
