SKIP NEWMAN SCHOLARSHIP: The Hugh "Skip Newman" Scholarship committee is currently accepting applications for the 2008 Skip Newman Scholarship. Applications are available in the Church Office and must be submitted by May 18th. Anyone wishing to make a donation to the scholarship fund may do so by submitting a check to the Church and designating it for the Newman Scholarship Fund.

N.O. - M.S.G. New Day & Time: The Men's Spiritual Group will begin meeting on Sunday nights, starting March 30th, 6:00-7:00pm. As in the past, we will use "The Upper Room" daily devotional guide as our guide for discussion. Questions, see Rob Schozer.
BLESSING OF THE RIDERS: The United Methodist Men will welcome the arrival of the Lighthouse Harley Chapter of the Long Island Motorcycle Club to our church on Sun., April 13th after services. This has been coordinated by UMM's Rodger Lee, who is a member of this chapter.
LOVEABLE LADIES' LUNCHEON: Sat. April 19th, 12:00-2:00pm in Fellowship Hall. Tickets are $12 per person and are available at Coffee Hour. Ladies, please think of inviting a friend, neighbor or relative for a delicious meal and fellowship.

SUMMER CAMP
is just around the corner and the United Methodist Church offers wonderful outdoor experiences for children and adults in three beautiful settings. Camperships are available to qualified applicants. For further info., please see Shanna Wurth. Applications should be received by April 20th.

If you have a family member who can no longer attend their regular senior center due to beginnings of Alzheimer's, dementia or are frail elderly, why not attend Farmingdale Adult Day Care Center (a social day care) Mon-Fri (9AM-3PM). We are in need of volunteers for our program as well, so if you have some time to spare, please give us a call.
ALTAR FLOWER CALENDAR:
If you wish to have an arrangement placed on the altar in memory of a loved one, or in honor of someone or a special time in your life, please call the Church Office. The cost is $20.
THE LIVING TREE
is a wonderful way to permanently record special moments in your life: Anniversaries, Baptism, Weddings, Confirmation, the passing of a loved one or any other personal or family event. A leaf on the tree is $250 and a rock is $3,000. Brochures are available in the South Transept by the tree.
