BLESSING OF THE RIDERS: The United Methodist Men will welcome the arrival of the Lighthouse Harley Chapter of the Long Island Motorcycle Club to our church this Sun., April 13th at 10:45 AM after 9:30 Service. This has been coordinated by UMM's Rodger Lee, who is a member of this chapter.

LOVEABLE LADIES' LUNCHEON: Sat. April 19th, 12:00-2:00pm in Fellowship Hall. Tickets are $12 per person and are available at Coffee Hour. Ladies, please think of inviting a friend, neighbor or relative for a delicious meal and fellowship.

CROPWALK: Sunday, April 20th, 1:30pm at Marjorie Post Park. Please consider supporting CROPWALK (sponsored by Church World Service) whose mission is to combat world hunger by making a donation or sponsoring a walker. See Peggy Tomko or Lisa James at Coffee Hour.

SKIP NEWMAN SCHOLARSHIP: : The Hugh "Skip Newman" Scholarship committee is currently accepting applications for the 2008 Skip Newman Scholarship. Applications are available in the Church Office and must be submitted by May 18th. Anyone wishing to make a donation to the scholarship fund may do so by submitting a check to the Church and designating it for the Newman Scholarship Fund.

PRAYER FOR OUR CHURCH THIS WEEK
•Lord, draw us to know Christ more deeply, experience joy and strength in ministry, and deepen our love for those whom we serve. Raise up more workers for Your purpose.

NEW MEMBERS CLASS: Every follower of Christ is called to participate in the ministry and mission of Jesus Christ the Risen Lord. The church, which is the Body of Christ, is where one can fully participate in this calling. If you want to make a deeper commitment to Christ and want to explore church membership, please see Pastor Yim. Prayerfully consider joining our church as we seek to follow Christ and serve His purpose together.

SUMMER CAMP is just around the corner and the United Methodist Church offers wonderful outdoor experiences for children and adults in three beautiful settings. Camperships are available to qualified applicants. For further info., please see Shanna Wurth. Applications should be received by April 27th.

The annual audit includes Permanent Endowment, UMW, UMM, MYF, Nursery School, Memorial, Soup Group, Thrift Shop, Skip Newman, General Fund, Capital Fund, Powell Fund and Building Fund. TO ALL GROUPS USING THE KITCHEN IN FELLOWSHIP HALL: Please make sure the clean up is thorough. No items should be left on counters. Please return the utensils, pots, pans, etc to their properly labeled places after use. When using the freezer, please use the designated places only to avoid any confusion for other user groups. Your cooperation is most appreciated.
