PRAYER for the LENTEN SEASON
Gracious God, You take delight in those who trust in You and choose to work in response to the prayers of Your people. We praise You for the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ through whom we have life, joy and peace.
Lord, we pray for our Lenten Journey that You will bless & use this opportunity to strengthen our walk with Christ and discover new dimensions of faith, hope and love that we may live to do Your will. Grant that we may experience afresh renewal and growth in our faith and in our church. We pray in the name of Christ our Lord. Amen.

EVENING LENTEN PROGRAM 2010

6:00PM - Lenten Program
Plan ahead and join us starting Sun. February 21st at 5:00pm for a potluck dinner (bring a dish/dessert to share). Programs begin at 5:50pm with a time of singing Praises/Hymns.
FOR ADULTS :
The following DVD Studies will be offered:
- "Faith Lessons - Walk as Jesus Walked" led by Jodi Abbinanti & Cynthia Hansen, filmed on location in the Holy Land and focuses on how the followers of Christ can change the world.
- NOOMA Study by Rob Bell of the Mars Hill Church, led by Jeff & Lisa James, explores eternal questions; for example: "How do we deal with the pain of losing someone?" by looking at everyday life situations as seen from Jesus' perspective.
FOR FAMILY/CHILDREN:
- "I Have Decided to Follow Jesus: Lenten Activities for Children, Parents & Grandparents", led by Elizabeth Christie. Come dressed accordingly for crafts, activities & games.
FOR YOUTH:
- "Prayer Journey" - program for grades 6 thru 12, led by Shanna & Garry Wurth. The youth will be discussing their own prayer journey as well as developing a prayer walk on the lower level of the Education wing.
- Come & draw near to Christ as we dine, share, grow & worship together!

J. C. CAFÉ TALENT NIGHT: Please set aside Sat., March 20th and plan to participate in this wonderful night of fellowship with your church family. Sign up sheet is posted on bulletin board in Fellowship Hall. All types of talent, all ages welcome. Proceeds will be used to help the earthquake victims from Haiti through UMCOR.

SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER: A special one-time opportunity to deepen your fellowship with God is being offered on Sat. April 17th from 9:30-10:30am. There will be a time of personal reflection and meditative music led by David Majoros. The morning ministry program will be led by Pat DiMassi & Cynthia Hansen. Please mark your calendar and join us for this "Sweet Hour of Prayer."
