Frank Rendo has had the privilege of singing some of Contemporary Christian music's finest songs since the inception of his ministry after his conversion in May of 1983. The soul of the listener is deeply moved by the heartfelt sincerity of Frank's presentation, in addition to the powerful combination of the comfort and the power of the Holy Spirit that is conveyed through his voice.
After graduating from Oral Roberts University with a BA in Theology, where he was a chaplain and a praise & worship leader, he became the music director for the evangelistic music group Front Line, which toured the USA, France, Germany, Holland, and Switzerland. Next, he was involved with the trio called Epiphany, whose concert focus was to bring renewal to mainline denominations. They toured the USA, Denmark, and Israel.
Since then he has enjoyed a solo career, including album projects as well as numerous concert appearances. His solo album, "How Can You Say No to This Man?" has been a big seller and received rave reviews. CMU magazine said, "Hearing Frank Rendo sing is an experience you don't want to miss. His voice is vibrant with power and professionalism. He is definitely live concert material." Many have given their lives to Christ after hearing this album. Other noteworthy recordings include two Integrity's Hosanna praise & worship albums titled, "Praise & Honor," and "Exalt the Lord." Recently, he can be heard on Christian City Church- New York's self titled album, singing solos and back-ups throughout. He can also be heard on two new Maranatha Praise albums, entitled "Holy Father," and "Psalms Alive With Rob Mathes," singing back-ups as well. His newest CD, "SHINE" was released in early 2004.
During the late 1990s, Frank had made frequent appearances on "Visitation House, the Voices of Hope," seen on the Telecare network. Frank has also appeared as a contestant on the Christian TV game show "Inspiration Please!", presented by the Odyssey network. He has also made several guest shots on TBN's "Praise The Lord" broadcast. He is seen regularly performing at Long Island's premiere Christian Cafe, "Samantha's Li'l Bit of Heaven," enjoying a monthly "first Saturday of the month" ministry evening where many faithful come to hear him perform.
Formally director of music at Christian City Church, Greenlawn, Long Island, Frank continues to carry out his personal standard of professionalism under a powerful anointing. He was a headliner & co-producer of Westbury Music Fair's "One Night A Year" Christmas Concert Celebration in December of 1998, and then he was the co-host of the major event Jesus Alive 2000 at the Nassau Coliseum with Fr. Charles Mangano in October of 2000, where the focus is bringing ALL Christian denominations together for one evening to celebrate the One that we all have in common ’Ķ the Savior Jesus Christ. Over 10,000 people attended that outstanding night. Frank received acclaim for his leading that night. He was also a crisis counselor and outreach worker with the program Project Liberty, helping people cope with the after effects of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. He is currently on staff at the Bay Shore Assembly of God where he shares his music ministry gift weekly, singing special music and leading worship. He is also completing another degree in college, studying Horticulture at Farmingdale State. Moreover, he is a vocal teacher & coach for those who wish to learn or improve their own ability to lift their voice.
