Worship

Worship at Farmingdale United Methodist Church gives you a wonderful experience of being in the presence of God. Singing and praying are the hallmarks of our worship experience. We are graciously nurtured by the proclamation of God's words and are encouraged to "Love God, Love Your Neighbor, and Love Yourself."

Worship service is held on every Sunday at 9:30 AM.

The vibrant colored stained glass windows add luster to the historic sanctuary decor. The altar, baptismal font, pulpit, cross, hymnals, and Bible enhance the spiritual vitality of our worship environment.

After the service please join us for coffee hour downstairs where members and visitors gather in morning fellowship.

What to Expect

When you join us for worship you can expect a blend of traditional & liturgical elements with reverence, warmth, variety, and a family-friendly atmosphere. A typical service includes music, scripture readings, announcements, and offertory. Our church is unique in that we hold a nontraditional church family fellowship time during the service. This is a time to welcome first time visitors and share our joys and concerns with one another. The Chancel Choir provides a weekly anthem along with the Hand Bell Choir and Cherub Choir (children) supporting regularly to facilitate a worshipful experience. A weekly engaging Children's' Moment during the service highlights children's participation in worship.

Communion

Farmingdale UMC practices open Communion - it is served the first week of each month and all are welcome to attend whether a member or not.
