Director of Music
David Majoros
David Majoros grew up in a musical family just south of Pittsburgh where hymn-singing and choral music played a major part in his spiritual and musical life. His earliest memories are of standing on a chair and singing duets with his Dad at church. Dave says, “I live to sing and talk about Jesus Christ and to bring more and more music via The Chancel Choir, The Bell Choir and Congregational Singing to Farmingdale UMC!”
He completed his Master’s degree in Vocal Performance and Literature at West Virginia University and subsequently went on to earn his doctorate in Vocal Performance at the University of Arizona. David has performed major baritone operatic roles with opera companies across the country, and has toured the nation with his self-produced, self-directed Musical/Dramatic Portrait of the great American composer, Charles Ives. In addition to his role as Director of Music for the Farmingdale United Methodist Church, he teaches piano and voice.
David is married to Jayme and has three children and eight grandchildren.
